The sound of the ocean waves and the floor to ceiling views from every room; the calming, clean lines of the expertly designed interior; the ease of cooking in the seriously applianced chef's kitchen; the gentle, consistent flow of water in the spa shower; the crisp white sheets on the mattress that can only be described as heavenly bliss; the well-furnished deck with panoramic views of the ocean and mountains; the colorful brilliance of the Maui sunset....we could go on and on. The longer you stay, the more you realize life feels so perfect because you want for nothing. Everything is here. We loved our time in this beautiful penthouse. We had a fantastic and relaxing stay! The accommodation was so peaceful it was perfect for us to cook and relax at after a long day st the beach! Owner was so helpful and kind! Property itself was very clean, pool very clean and beach was WOW!!!!! Will be back with our kids one day again!!!

Absolute perfection - The place is very clean and the resort is excellent! Right on the beach and cast aways (resort restaurant and bar) is awesome! Everyone is very friendly and the place was very comfortable! We were already talking about coming back on our first day! Dan and Christine were awesome setting everything up and checking in while we were there!

The place was great. Clean, well maintained with beautiful view. It was exactly what I was looking for and did not disappoint.

"We stayed here for 10 days while we came to Maui to get married. The room was perfect and had everything we could need. The kitchen was fully stocked, lots of space for getting all the girls ready the day of the wedding, large balcony for breakfast every morning. We got lots of use out of the beach supplies in the closet! Loved being on this side of black rock, so many less people. However, still walking distance to whaler's village and the resorts on the other side. I do really wish it had an accessible washer and dryer in the unit with it being on the 5th floor. Overall we had a great time and hope to come back next summer!! Melissa and Bradley Hayne"

Flawless view, clean ,quiet ,breezy & comfy unit with a well equipped kitchen. We've been visiting the Villas for 33 years and have stayed in many of the units on this property, but this view was insatiable! We kept the sliders open an absorbed every bit of tropical Tradewinds. We used the chairs, umbrella & cooler, and we spent every day on the beach. Thank you for sharing your lovely home away with us! Aloha and Mahalo

The "Hale Honu" Condo is heaven. We were so happy and comfortable celebrating our "honeversary" honeymoon and anniversary at Maui. The condo is so clean, and has all you need for a vacation home. The sunsets are amazing with the view the condo has to offer and you can always spot turtles if you go looking next to the ocean. The pictures and description of the place are right on point and they will not disappoint you. Dan and Christine had a very nice welcoming gift upon arrival as well as all the info you need at your condo and recommendations to restaurants, attractions, and directions. Another thing is that Christine responds quickly to all your needs and this is so nice! They have been the best host we've ever had at airbnb thus far. Christine and Dan have created a wonderful home away from home for others to enjoy. The pictures looked great and I wondered if the reality would live up. The reality far exceeded the pictures. The view is spectacular. Being able to cook while looking at that view was so enjoyable. The condo is clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. We saw two turtles in the first 15 min of being on the property. You can snorkel right in front of the complex and see so many turtles. We saw more right there than we did at Molokini. The beach just up the road is a great little surfing beach. There is a Farmers Market and a Fish Market very close by for organic groceries and fish caught that day. There are also three very nice grills to cook that fish on. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The sheets and pillows are high quality. Christine and Dan provide lots of little details to make things feel like home. Keeping the windows and slider door open with the fans keep the place very cool. We ate all our meals out on the deck with that amazing view. The pool is right there and has an outdoor shower to rinse all that sand off after a day at the beach. Christine and Dan have provided beach chairs, umbrella, boogie board & noodles for your use. There are tv's in the living room and both bedrooms, but we didn't even turn them on with that view to watch. There is a nice sound system that we did use to listen to music while cooking and eating dinner. The condo is in a very central area if you want to explore Maui. We went all over and felt like we picked the best spot on the Island. I really can't say enough good things about Mahina Surf #226 and Christine and Dan. It just felt like home. Thank you so much, Christine and Dan for being the best ever hosts!

As I write this, I'm looking left over the ocean from the killer deck, looking right to see the mountain covered in cloud.... how lucky do I feel? This apartment is classy....clean, top notch appliances, easy access to the beach 200 yards away where you can literally go look for Nemo and Dory on the reef. The beds are fantastic, usually where a stay can go wrong, the apartment is quiet, with curtains that block out all the light that would wreck a sleep in. The smart TV's in each room allow you to catch up on netflix/hulu etc if that is your thing. What you have are lots of options...which is what you want. Do as much or as little as you want...after all, it is your holiday. I am sick of hotels, the canned experience, and I would definitely would look at coming back.

Awesome place, great hosts!

Everything about the indoor space was beautifully appointed, well equipped and the king bed was more comfortable than ours at home...but the lanai is what puts this property over the top. It's huge with lots of comfortable seating. It is close to the main highway which creates some road noise and might be a bother for some but we didn't mind it (you don't hear it inside the unit). This is our first stay at this resort - the pool area was perfect for our 2.5 year old granddaughter, the beach is gorgeous and the onsite restaurant was really very good (try the Ahi Poke).

This place was amazing plus our host made us feel so welcome when we first step in the door. There are not enough stars to give Dan here on Airbnb. Staying here made me want to stay longer. I am definitely going to refer this place to all my friends and family.

Dan and Christine's place is absolutely fantastic and I will come back there in a heart beat! The place is newly redone with a beautiful kitchen and appliances. The view is absolutely spectacular. Dan was also super responsive to any questions I had for him. I would definitely recommend this place.

Upon entering the condo, we knew we made the right decision. From the personalized note, chocolates, and fresh pineapple to the exceptionally clean rooms, that made our stay that much better. The bed was comfy, the linens and bathroom were clean and the view was phenomenal. Dan called us to make sure we got to the condo and was there at a drop of a dime if we had any questions. So glad we made the decision to stay here.

I want to thank Dan and Christine for providing a picture perfect unit for our vacation. Their place is absolutely gorgeous inside out, top to bottom. On top of that, their personal attention and hospitality made our vacation even more wonderful. After visiting two friends who stayed at even more expensive hotels, I knew I made not only the right choice, but a perfect choice. This place deserve 10 out of 10 stars and their hospitality deserve another 10. I am highly recommending this place to all my friends and family. And yes, we will stay here definitely again on our next Maui trip.

absolutely loved the unit, it was wonderfully maintained, the views were amazing and the kitchen was stocked with an abundance of pots, knives, and appliances.

The condo is very well equipped for a relaxing time at the beach. The ocean is a few minutes walk from your door. The view from the condo is breathtaking. A return trip will be in order

We really enjoyed our time in Maui in the penthouse at Kaanapali Villas. The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed. We were able to see the whales in the ocean from the living room. The beds were very comfortable and it was great to have two separate bathrooms for our group. The outdoor furnishings were great to relax outside in sun and the short walk to the pool, beach, and beachwalk was great. Thanks for our stay!

This condo was wonderful! We booked last minute and Dan and Christine were so helpful. The decor in the condo was beautiful, the fans were very effective at keeping things cool, and Mahina Surf was such a great quiet spot. My kids loved the pool and the geckos! The complex has a relaxed, community feel and was just what we needed. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Very nicely furnished and maintained. Had everything we needed including kitchen and beach equipment. Great for 2 people. May be a bit small for more than that. Awesome views. Being on the 5th floor we never closed the blinds. Quiet. Resort was also well maintained with friendly service.

"We spent four days and everything was perfect! The apartment is beautiful, comfortable, clean, fully equiped and very well located. Matress, sheets, towels, even kitchen towels are very good quality. Truly gourmet kitchen with everything you need and more. The beach is very nice (we saw some whales!!!!) and the pool is great! We appreciate the high quality beach chairs, umbrella and kids toys for the beach (floaties, scuba and bodysurfing equipment). Rainy day ? no problem. 2 big flat screens with surround sound (perfect for watching the historic Patriots Superbowl comeback ....:) We absolutely would recommend this place, is like staying at home! Thanks Dan!!!! We had a great time"

We loved it! I can't rave about this condo and not mention the beds first. So comfortable and cozy. The linens and comforters were the perfect weight. Not many people get that right :), but these owners know what they are doing, thank you. Now about the kitchen. It has everything you need, everything and more. Loved having 2 icemakers as well, they were well used. Both bathrooms are great, but the shower in the master suite is fantastic, really. Having the smart tvs are, can I say, smart? Especially traveling with family and young children, it's was very welcomed. Thank you for a lovely week, we would come again without hesitation. These owners have done a great job and met all our needs. Aloha!
